World Currency Converter
Great site to plan your overseas vacation and how much
money to bring. Of course it wouldn’t tell you that a Coke
in a Paris hotel would set you back to about 5 bucks, or a
cantaloupe the size of a grapefruit at your local market
costs $25 in Tokyo!

Ethical Traveler
This title says it all. “Ethical
Traveler is the first
grass-roots alliance uniting adventurers, tourists, travel
agencies, and outfitters — everyone who loves to travel, and
sees travel as a positive force in the world. We feel that
all travelers are, in effect, freelance ambassadors. We also
believe that we have the ability to join our voices, and to
use our economic power to strengthen human rights and
protect the environment.” The site has among other causes,
a full database of detailed information of countries all
over the world complete with pictures. I checked out Viet
Nam and it’s pretty detailed. Go to the site, click on
Explore, them Detailed Country Information.
