Awards and Recognitions
April 2011: Community Hospital Anderson is a recipient of two VHA Central PEAK Awards for Performance Excellence.
The first PEAK Award is for sustained performance excellence in the Patient Safety-Patient Falls category and the second PEAK Award is for sustained performance excellence in the Patient Experience category on the three measures collected:
- Nurse explains in a way that is understandable
- Physician courtesy
- Recommends hospital
Award winners have been selected from among all VHA Central members reporting data in the VHA Central Performance Improvement Initiative and using the NDNQI definitions for Patient Safety and the HCAHPS measures for the Patient Experience category.
2010 - American Heart Association/American Stroke Association Get with the Guidelines - Stroke, bronze status. This award recognizes not only our attainment of prescribed thresholds, but our committed effort to provide high quality cardiovascular care.
Honored with a five star award for the treatment of heart attack and heart failure.
Ranked third among all hospitals in the state of Indiana for the treatment of heart attack, heart failure and pneumonia.
Honored with the Baby-Friendly Award given by UNICEF and the World Health Organization (WHO) in 2005 for their efforts in the education and promotion of breastfeeding.
Honored by Professional Research Consultants (PRC) with 5-star Emergency Department Overall Quality of Care and 4-star Outpatient Overall Quality of Care.
